Some unfortunate breaking news today that the May 15 for SCOOB! has been cancelled in order to stop the spread of COVID-19. Another release date was not set for the film yet, and it will likely be held back until things get back to normal. You can read more about what other films have been postponed on the Deadline website.

it makes common sense to delay this due to the virus, which is speading however there is a strong chance that this may end up on HBO Max soon. I enjoy the theatre experience myself but I think our health is more important at this stage, china did reopen reopen their theatres recently but they didn't get much viewers due to the virus outbreak.

With how uncertain everything the virus is right now, including how long this will last, I think streaming could be a good method of releasing the film even if theaters would be open again by May.

If the movie theaters aren't open by May, the problem may go way deeper than Scoob.I honestly think that the Studios need to start seriously reconsidering whether theatrical distribution will still be sustainable in the future. streaming is becoming the future for a lot of people.

I think it's a bit too early to speculate if they'll be open by May or not (it feels like we're getting new and sometimes conflicting information on things every day now). Streaming is definitely a preferred method of watching films by a lot of people, though I think there's still something to say for the theater experience.

Was just looking this up and found out before coming here. Sigh, so in 12 hours I've lost this, my main holiday and another event, looking like a bleak few months!

Yeah, everyone's health and safety is top priority right now, any chance we can just fast forward to 2021? 3/25/2020 03:26:34 pm
Haha yeah, though hopefully this will be over long before then. I'm just trying to take things day by day at the moment with how quick things are changing.

no it is not coming to Australia on May 28th the Cinemas in Australia, and New Zealand have been Ordered to Shut Down by the government, over 2,700 movie theaters in the two countries will close in Australia, and New Zealand as of monday hence making the movie impossible to premier on may 28th, your comment alone is based on a previous theatre release date.

I strongly suspect scoob will come to streaming, since a a new release date for theatres nas not been given so far.

I deleted the guy's comment. The person has been posting other crap on here lately that he just makes up as he goes, so I wouldn't put any stock in it.
