Today, the Instagram account BR Open Ice, which is a verified account, posted a promo for the upcoming MultiVersus NHL game this Sunday at 3:30pm EST. While the rest of the ad was nothing particularly notable, one very noteworthy thing is that the ad shows Scooby-Doo's design in MultiVersus animation, meaning that the speculation back in 2022 that he is a character in MultiVersus may actually have some validity. Screenshots of Scooby's designs can be seen above, although the ad was fast-paced enough that these were unfortunately the clearest pictures of the design that we can see. You can watch the full ad here.

AnimationMagazine has revealed some additional information about the second season of Velma, along with a more official announcement of the show's return and a new poster (above). CBR has confirmed that the season 2 of the show will be posted on Max on April 25, and the full season will be posted that day. They've also shared the official description for the new season:
When an even spookier mystery grips Crystal Cove, Velma (Mindy Kaling) must find a way to balance her detective work with the demands of her newfound popularity before it’s too late. Meanwhile, her faithful friends Daphne (Constance Wu), Norville (Sam Richardson), and Fred (Glenn Howerton) are powerless to help thanks to their own personal battles and worse… Detention. A few Velma season 2 titles have popped up on Rotten Tomatoes for the first four episodes. I don't believe any Rotten Tomatoes content able to be edited by users, so these should be the official titles (but please correct me if I'm wrong on this). The titles for the first four episodes are "The Mystery of Teen Romance," "Creaky Friday," "When Velma Met Money," and "Seancé." There hasn't been official confirmation of these titles anywhere else, but I think it's safe to say that these will likely be the titles. Thanks JustMeJordanW for providing the links to these titles, which can be found below:

I can't believe it's been close to 10 years I've been posting these! Back when I started writing these on September 29, 2014, I don't think I ever thought I'd be continuing these a decade later, but I have a lot of fun coming up with these each week, and it's evolved into being one of my favorite things about doing this blog.
Full disclosure, I do have another surprise to celebrate the 500th fun fact that isn't quite ready yet, and I'm so excited to hopefully share that with you all soon. In the meantime, I did still want to do something special to commemorate the day, since posting these 500 weeks in a row is such a huge milestone. I was thinking about how during the pandemic, I did a number of different more involved projects for fun facts, and I haven't done something like that in a long while now. Thus, for this special fun fact, I wanted to do a little research project that I don't believe has been done in the past. I was curious which country the gang had traveled to the most, and through my research, it turns out the answer is a three-way tie between Scotland, France and Japan. The gang visited each of those three countries 6 different times. To figure this out, I calculated out how many times the gang has traveled internationally. I included "The Night Ghoul of Wonderworld" as them traveling to the UK, even though the resort was technically in North America. I also included it if the gang traveled to a landmark on another continent that is not in one specific country (i.e. the Amazon River, Andes Mountains, etc.) Just for fun, since I'd already written out all the countries they'd visited, I also counted how many times the gang has visited each continent. Below is a full breakdown of how many times the gang has visited countries and continents outside of the US. A couple notes before we get into the breakdown:
North America (outside US) = 12 Mexico - 7 Canada - 4 Haiti - 1 South America = 5 Brazil - 2 Argentina - 1 Andes Mountains - 1 Amazon River - 1 Europe = 45 Scotland - 6 France - 6 Romania - 5 England - 4 Italy - 4 Greece - 4 Ireland - 2 Switzerland - 2 Austria - 2 Netherlands - 2 Norway - 2 Russia - 2 Denmark - 1 Germany - 1 Spain - 1 Poland - 1 Africa = 12 Egypt - 4 Morocco - 2 Tanzania - 1 Sahara Desert - 1 Malawi - 1 *Note: In the Laff-a-Lympics episode "Africa and San Francisco," the competition takes place in Africa but a specific country was not named. In addition, the gang visits jungles in Africa in "A Bungle in the Jungle" and "Scooby of the Jungle," but the specific country the jungles are in isn't named in either episode. All three of these episodes are included in the above total for the continent. Asia = 21 Japan - 6 China - 4 Himalayas - 3 Turkey - 2 India - 2 Arabian Peninsula - 2 Iran - 1 Iraq - 1 Thailand - 1 Israel - 1 Australia / Oceania = 4 Australia - 3 New Zealand - 1 Antarctica = 1 Misc. North Pole - 3 South Pole - 2 Sargasso Sea - 1 It was a lot of fun tackling a bigger research project like this again, so I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I did writing it up! Here are the results for last week's poll:
What is your favorite episode featuring a villain from a comic book/TV series coming to life? The game will air on Sunday, April 14 at 3:30pm EST on TruTV according to the Hollywood Reporter.
In "Mine Your Own Business," an animation error shows Fred's head turning 180 degrees when he notices Daphne fell down the mine shaft.
Due to Zaslav's mass tax write-offs, WB had to scramble to figure out a DTV idea for this year. The movie had to be written, animated and produced all within a week, as they risked the film potentially being written off for taxes if they took longer. That said, our 2024 Scooby film has just been announced, and will be released on May 1. This year's DTV will be titled Scooby-Doo Makes Some Stew! Here's the description for the film:
Scooby makes a hearty beef stew to prepare for his cousin Whoopsy-Doo coming over for dinner. He makes sure to put in all the trimmings - beef, carrots, basil, garlic, and italian seasoning. However, he soon realizes a terrifying fact: he forgot the oregano! Can Scooby rush to the store and buy the oregano before Whoopsy arrives in an hour? Because every film needs to be a crossover, the film will also guest star TikTok sensation Charli D'Amelio. D'Amelio's role in the film will be helping Scooby-Doo make the stew. Check out the official trailer for the film here! Happy Easter to all those who are celebrating today! Although all options got votes from last week's poll, there was a gigantic gap between first and second place as expected. Here are the results for last week's poll:
